Chris's trip out west...

As you all may not know, I recently got a new job at Waynesboro hospital. And I was lucky enough to be sent out for training to Carlsbad, CA. The town is about a half hour north of San Diego. It was a great time. Most of the days I was in the ventilator class, but the evenings were available to do with as you pleased. With my free time, I was able to go check out Joshua Tree National Park. This was the first time that I was ever out that far west. The trees out there are hard to describe so I got some pictures. During the week while I was out there, Joelene had to manage taking care of all four kids by herself. She did an awesome job and was ready for me to come home. The kids behaved themselves and made their Daddy proud.

Hike at Gettysburg with the cubscouts

Cameron, Tyler, and Dad went with the Pack last weekend for the "Billy Yank" Hike in Gettysburg. It was a five mile hike through the battlefield but both Dad and kids did fine. This was Tylers first hike and only needed one piggy back ride from Dad during the hike. It was a beutiful day and we all hand a load of fun!

Camping with the Family

The family took a camping trip to Condorus State Park. We roughed it. Cooked food over the campfire and had smores. We also rented a boat and toured the lake. I took the boys fishing. Both of the older boys caught one fish each. The girls stayed behind and took a nap. No the way home we stopped and checked out the new museum at Gettysburg.
